Job Description

We are urgently seeking an experienced and skilled Archivist Records Manager to join a small project team to catalogue documents onto Axiell Calm to ISAD(G) standards and also to prepare the documents for publication for one of our local government clients based in Sheffield.The Archivist Records Manager will sort, arrange and describe digital documents relating to the project in accordance with international cataloguing standards using CALM cataloguing software. They will prepare digital documents for disclosure via conversion to pdf format and redaction of information not suitable for disclosure within agreed protocols, taking into account Freedom of Information legislation and relevant exemptions.Ideal candidates will demonstrate the following:

  • Postgraduate qualification in archives/records or information management, or equivalent experience
  • Experience of using Axiell Calm or a similar system is essential
  • Essential is a knowledge of GDPR, Freedom of Information exemptions and the application of redactions
  • Experience of cataloguing archives and records
  • Experience of preparing documents for disclosure / publication - applying FOI exemptions and undertaking redactions
  • Ability to deliver a service, which balances the needs of the collection with internal and external stakeholders
Work can be undertaken remotely from home.
