Job Description

The successful APQP Control Manager will assist the Director and Quality Manager with the day-to-day management and development of the company quality system (to ISO9001, AS13000 and AS9100 standards).The role will involve:

  • You will ensure that products and services meet customer needs and expectations, to fulfil company quality objectives.
  • You will create and sustain a culture within the Quality department that is based on continuous improvement, revising, and updating the quality management procedures as required.
  • Developing, implementing, and evaluating strategic plans, goals and objectives, you will identify areas where product or service quality requires corrective action and provide and communicate overall vision and direction for the program.
  • You will manage teams across functional boundaries, both internal and external, and contribute to the production of program reports, materials and content.
To be successful in this role of APQP Control Manager we would love to speak to anyone who has experience of:
  • Proven experience working in an engineering / manufacturing environment and understand national and international quality standards including ISO9001, AS13000 and AS9100.
  • Detailed knowledge of APQP and PPAP requirements and methodologies and demonstrate excellent leadership and problem-solving skills.
  • A Lean Six Sigman Green Belt practitioner is desirable, as is someone with an understanding of forging processes.
