Job Description

Sopra Banking Software is seeking an Application Support Analyst in Sheffield as part of expanding capability for delivering excellent service to customers for a range of newly developed products on leading technologies.Role: Full Time, PermanentSalary: £40,000 - £48,000 per annum plus pension, healthcare, bonusApplication Support Analyst Role:On a daily basis you will be involved in actioning and solving customer issues with our Mortgage and Savings applications for our UK retail banking customer base. These customers range from tier 1 banks to building societies UK wide.Application Support Analyst Requirements:

  • A good understanding of both web based and desktop Client Server architectures
  • A strong analytical/problem solving ability
  • An ability to communicate technical issues and solutions to an audience with a wide range of technical ability, through various means
  • Hold an ITIL qualification
Experience of some of the following technology would be preferential;
  • SQL databases and PL/SQL
  • C#, Angular JS, XML
  • JavaScript (ES6), CSS and HTML
  • REST APIs using JSON
  • MongoDB
  • code versioning tools suchas Git
  • back-end programming languages(e.g. Python, Ruby, Java, .NET) and appropriate frameworks (e.g. Node, Django, Spring)
  • Unix/Linux
