Job Description

Analytical Field Service TechnicianFull time permanent position covering North East and North West (Leeds, Manchester, Sheffield, Hull, Huddersfield)Competitive salary plus annual bonus and paid overtime makes this an attractive packageFurther benefits include BUPA Healthcare, 25 to 29 days holiday - see belowOur global pharmaceutical client is offering a unique opportunity for a knowledgeable Analytical Lab Service Technician to learn and quickly become an expert in a range of high-tech analytical instruments for fault diagnosis, repair, routine servicing, certificationand installation to customers across the region. This is a fantastic and interesting opportunity and comes with innovative training for someone who is performing a similar role or a technical understanding of one of their products within the sector.This position requires you to have your own car and be located around the North East or North West of the UK.Responsibilities:Have ability to learn and quickly become an expert in a range of high-tech analytical instrumentsHave knowledge of analytical instruments which could include pH meters, auto-Titrators, thermal analysis instruments, melting point/dropping point, UV-vis, density/refractometry and inline process sensorsFault diagnosis, repair, routine servicing, certification, and installation of equipment in accordance with GMP guidelinesCustomer facing role; you will be representing the company and will assist the customer to achieve the best performance from their instrumentsDemonstrate the ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic growing teamUse your good administration skills with excellent attention to detailComplete and submit paperwork in a timely mannerMaintain, manage, and administer allocated company stock to a sustainable level and with monthly stock checksQualifications/Experience required:Previous experience working independently as a field service engineer in a similar laboratory focused fieldMinimum HND/HNC or equivalent within an engineering disciplineA good understanding of the principles, techniques and instruments used for thermal analysis is a particular need for this role / locationAn understanding of the principles of Chemistry, A Level preferredKnowledge of GMP procedures and best practicesValid, clean UK driving licenseAbility to travel in the UK and willingness to attend training in EU or USABenefits:International career development opportunitiesPart of One Team who thrive from collaboration and drives continuous improvementSupports working families through enhanced family friendly policies and flexible working patterns.Encourages creativity, working autonomously and measures and celebrates successSupporting individual learning, development and growth within the CompanyWe encourage work life balance and offer 25 holidays, + Bank Holidays, and rewards length of service as your holiday entitlement increases to a maximum of 29 days once you hit your milestones.Health and Wellbeing of employees is important to us and as such all employees have BUPA healthcare, an EAP service and access to our wellbeing portal.
