Job Description

AdministratorSalary:£21,451 (£9.50 p/hr)Full Time 8am - 5pm (42.5 hours per week, plus 4 hours one Saturday a month)Working hours: Monday - Friday: 8am to 5pmSaturday - One Saturday per month - 8am till 12noon.We are looking for an administration/sales assistant to join our family run company, we specialise in the manufacturer and distributor of staircase products.One of the main purposes of this role will be to manage the sales generated from orders placed on Ebay and Amazon.It will be the postholders specific responsibility to:·Process the orders placed on both sites, which includes producing invoices and picking sheets for the warehouse·List products and items for sale·Keep both sites up to date with available products·Liaise with the warehouse to establish which products to promote·Reply to customer queriesOther responsibilities will include:

  • Greet and attend to customers in the showroom
  • Take new orders from both trade and general public customers both over the phone & in the showroom
  • Amending existing orders already placed by customers
  • Being the first point of contact for all telephone and email enquiries
  • Process orders on the system to be picked by the warehouse
  • Liaise with couriers regarding delivery of orders to customers
  • Working our quotes for customers using measurement and product knowledge
  • Develop a good knowledge of our products and how they work
  • General office & clerical duties as and when required
  • Candidates must have:
  • Be able to think on their feet in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills
  • Good accuracy and organisational skills
  • The ability to work to targets and deadlines and be able to multitask
  • Excellent IT skills
  • The ability to work as part of a team as well as using initiative and working independently
  • The ability to be flexible and have a can do’ attitude
  • An interest & understanding of home improvements
