Job Description

Warehouse Operative ( Nights)This is an excellent opportunity to work as a Warehouse Operative for Aldis new purpose built RDC IN Long Eaton - Sawley on a Temp to Perm basis after 13 weeks. This is a new site with modern facilities, free parking, and a high level of training provided.Genuine opportunities to grow within one of the largest supermarket businesses in the Europe. Easy Transport links via the 24 hour Skylink bus service.

  • Previous warehouse experience is desirable, but training is provided.
  • You will be working 5 out of 7 shifts, you must be available to work some weekends.
  • Shift start times are 6pm,8pm and 10pm ( 3 start times depending on the rota)
  • 8 hour shifts
  • Pay Shifts - £8:91 per hour , then £10.05 per hour once full time between 4am-10pm
  • Pay Nights- £10:69 per hour , then £12:06 per hour once full time between 10pm-4am
  • Interviews will be held on-site in the evening
Location: Long Eaton - SawleyDuration: Ongoing, Temporary to Permanent roleDuties of a Warehouse Operative will include, but are not limited to:
    • Loading vehicles (Manual Handling and MHE use)
    • Moving stock (Manual Handling and MHE use)
    • Re-stacking and wrapping pallets when required
    • Cleaning warehouse / loading bays after deliveries have gone
    • Checking accuracy of pallets picked for delivery (numeracy and accuracy)
    • Communicating across different levels of management effectively
    • Supporting the deputy managers in their duties (a lot of the above)
