Job Description

UX Lead - Selby/Remote - Up to £55,000!(Remote working, 25 days annual leave plus BH, training, flexible hours)Are you a natural born leader with a creative mind looking for a new UX Lead roleA software company in the heart of Yorkshire are on a huge growth mission this year and are investing heavily in their UX team and are looking for a UX Lead to join them on their adventure.As the UX Lead, you will manage the companys UX division and use your experience in information architecture and interaction design to play a key lead role in the continuous improvement of their website, app & digital products.You will act as a key link between senior stakeholders in the wider business, gathering requirements, managing, and communicating the work of the innovations team, and you will be required to work closely with teams throughout the wider business to ensure UX/UI brand principles are adhered to - so top-quality collaboration skills are a must!Your role will involve a variety of sketching, concepting, user research and guerilla testing, constructing customer journeys, wireframing and prototyping - no two days will be the same!Requirements

  • Significant commercial experience as a UX / IA
  • Strong background in UX design and a portfolio to demonstrate
  • Experience of leading projects
  • Experience of working closely with UI, visual and brand designers and collaborating with developers, designers and business owners
  • Agency Experience is ideal
  • Advanced knowledge of design and prototyping tools, e.g. Axure, OmniGraffle
  • Knowledge of A/B and Multivariate testing
  • Strong knowledge of Human Computer Interaction / HCI principles and user-centred design methodologies
  • Strong research and analytical skills and knowledge with different techniques for conducting user tests and evaluating usability
  • Experience of stakeholder management - you must be comfortable working with colleagues at varying levels of seniority

  • Ability to create tight, meaningful briefs for UI and ensure that creative output remains on brief and within scope
  • Ability to present solutions, lead brainstorming sessions and objectively critique work
  • Ability to write project specifications and estimate tasks
  • Ability to communicate ideas quickly and illustrate ideas through wire framing, mockups, rapid prototyping, sketches, user flows, diagrams, and storyboards
  • Understanding of software development and Agile principles.
  • I.T proficient with an ability to use all Microsoft Office programmes particularly Word, Excel and Outlook and a familiarity with other bespoke databases
