Our IT function is using the latest Technology to deliver business benefit to Drax more quickly, improve user experience and drive operational efficiencies.Were now recruiting aSoftware Engineeras we continue to enhance the capabilitiesof our in-house applications.Youll be able to work from home, with the expectation that youll come into the office for monthly meetings and face-to-face collaboration when required.Draxs offices are based in Ipswich, London, Northampton and Selbyso your main office will be the one closest to where you live. Youll also have flexibility around start and finish times, so you can make your hours work for you.About the RoleAs part of a pro-active in-house team, youll be developing, configuring and delivering software accurately and with quality. Its a varied role, giving you scope to work across a range of new and existing applications. And youll be joining the team duringan exciting period of growth and technology change. Youll be collaborating with the wider IT team and 3rd party suppliers, and the role covers all aspects of solution delivery including problem solving, coding and planning the technical direction of our systems in association with the architecture team.Its also an opportunity to act as a mentor, coaching and developing junior members of the team.About YouYoull bring experience working in both .NET Framework and Core, as well as SQL Server. A good understanding of Azure DevOps, both build and release pipelines, and source control would be ideal.With a keen interest in latest technologies, youll have strong knowledge of web services and cloud platforms.
