Plant ChargehandPerm role, £15.18-£16.60p/hr, 4 On/4 Off (2 Days & 2 Nights), Weekly Pay, x3 Life Assurance, Private Medical Insurance, Cycle to Work SchemeSELBYInteraction Recruitment are looking for x2 Plant Chargehands to oversee the Production Team of their client, based near to Selby.Working under the Plant Manager, you will oversee the general plant operation and maintenance, to achieve the production objectives through leadership of the operations team to assist in the production process of the manufacturing plant. Day to day taskswill include:-Provide assistance to the plant manager with all aspects of plant work i.e. planning and operations, safety systems, shutdowns and holidays.-Co-ordinate and direct the staff members regarding the activities that need to be performed in the absence of the plant manager.-Provide operational support to the operators and providing assistance with any tasks required to maintain efficient operation of the plant.-Setting daily production targets and coordinate sales/delivery logistics.-To make optimum use of the equipment and available manpower to ensure efficient productivity and budget control.-Maintain, compile, store and retrieve any data and information related to the production.-Liaise with contractors and undertake authorisation of Permits to Work.-Work alongside the Plant Manager to achieve high standards of continuous improvement in all aspects of plant Operation and Maintenance.Key skills and qualifications required for this role are:-Previous Chemical Process experience would be an advantage-Experience of managing and co-ordinating staff is essential-Good attention to detail-Good working knowledge of MS office applications-A good level of computer literacy-Counterbalance FLT License, MEWPS and PASMA certifications would be advantageousYou will be required to work a Continental shift pattern, 12hr shifts, 2days/2nights then 4 days off. The Pay Rate for this role starts at £15.18p/hr and quickly rises to £16.60p/hr.
