Job Description

Maths TeacherLocation: Selby, North YorkshireSalary: MPS/UPS: £30,000 - £43,266 per annumStart Date: ASAPGSL Education is seeking a qualified Maths Teacher to work within a Client Secondary School inYork, North Yorkshire starting as soon as possible.The School:

Maths Teacher Responsibilities:
  • Planning and delivering Key Stage 3 and GCSE Maths lessons.
  • Encouraging active student participation, fostering critical thinking, and promoting problem-solving skills.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their growth.
  • Follow the ethos and policies of the school, promoting positive behaviour throughout the School.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to develop innovative teaching strategies and resources that enhance the learning experience.
  • Take part in staff training days, staff meetings and parent’s evenings.
Maths Teacher Requirements:
  • Hold a UK Teaching Qualification such as PGCE, B.Ed, PTTLS or QTLS.
  • Be knowledgeable and experienced in teaching young people with social, emotional and mental health needs.
  • Have two recent educational references that relate to your teaching experience (placements can be accepted for ECTs).
  • Good understanding of children and young peoples development and learning processes.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all children, young people, families, and caregivers.
  • You must have an enhanced Child Only DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one with GSL Education. DBS sponsorship is available for this position.
