IT Operations Senior AnalystNetworkSelbyHybrid WorkingDraxs IT function is using the latest Technology to deliver business benefit more quickly, improve user experience and drive operational efficiencies. To support this strategy, were now recruiting for an IT Operations Senior AnalystNetwork to join our Plant Network team based at our Selby office.This is a hybrid working opportunity, giving you the option to work from home 34 days per week. Youll also be required to travel to various sites in the UK as needed.About the RoleThis role gives you the opportunity to work across the network infrastructure that supports National Critical Infrastructure. Youll be a key member of a small Network team who are responsible for managing and maintaining network services across the Drax Hydroand Power stations within the UK. Day-to-day the role will involve dealing with service-related issues (incidents and requests) and providing technical support for project related workstreams which may include some level of design work. Youll be responsible for managing the Plant networks that predominately comprises of predominately Cisco switches, routers, and Checkpoint Firewalls. Youll follow the change controls, incident management processes and policies, create and update network documentationand network diagrams and continue to review and improve the technology solution and knowledge base.As a member of the Plant Network team, youll act as a technical escalation point and work closely with both business stakeholders and other IT teams to ensure deliver a world class service to the business. Youll be expected to continuously push to improvethe technology solutions deployed and ensure the knowledge base is updated, allowing issues to be fixed on first touch and minimising downtime.About YouThis role will be a great fit if youhave experience with most or all of the below: CCNP certification or be able to demonstrate technical hands-on knowledge at that level Configuring /supporting Cisco Switches and Routers Configuring and supporting Checkpoint Firewalls (knowledge of other Firewall vendors such as Cisco, SonicWall or Palo Alto would be desirable) Managing large scale network providing critical services to a business Working with other vendors such as HP, Palo Alto, F5 or VMWare (NSX-T) that would be desirable Using Network monitoring platforms such as Observium, PRTG, Solarwinds etc. it would also be desirable About DraxTo learn more about how were enabling a zero carbon, lower cost energy future, click here.Drax offers a discretionary 10% on target annual company performance-based bonus, plus benefits including 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays), private medical insurance, income protection, life assurance and pension starting at 3% employee contribution/6% employer contribution.
