Control and Instrumentation Engineer Career Level 4Permanent Location: SelbyAre you experienced within Control and Instrumentation Engineering and ready for a changeAre you ready to take a role that will see you challenge yourself, develop your career and add value to our team Do you want to be part of our purpose enable a zero carbon, lower cost energy future.About the roleFirst off, youll become a subject matter expert in your discipline and deploy your skills and knowledge across boilers and turbines at Drax. What that means is that youll be accountable for technical excellence for C&I systems across your areas. This role will be based on our site in Selby, North Yorkshire as your presence will be very important to this roleDay to day, youll be working to improve the plant and also work on exciting projects to ensure its availability and reliability. Youll be key to ensuring that we have a strategy in place to support the long-term commercial and operational success of the plant.Away from the technical delivery, youll also work to ensure that work is delivered safely, and it is compliant. Youll also be managing contractors and working closely with teams across the business. Importantly, youll play a key role at the power station, and you can be proud of the fact your work is keeping the countrys lights on.So, what are we looking for Youll need experience as a C&I engineer, coupled with relevant qualifications such as a degree or HND. Knowledge of plant-based control systems and instrumentation design and installation is essential, as is understanding of safety system design and installationunder IEC61511.The role comes with a lot of project delivery, so alongside the technical expertise, youll be an accomplished project manager and enjoy delivering critical projects and managing a dynamic workload.Ideally, youll have experience within the power, or similar heavy industry, but dont be dissuaded from applying if not.
