Youll be responsible for supporting Procurement to achieve the ambition of being a valued partner of the business, working together to maximise sustainable benefit and performance from the supply chain. This role will ensure that Drax receives demonstrable Value for Money in the development and implementation of procurement delivery. This role has direct business relationships and business planning across several business areas and will provide expert advice and contracting solutions from sourcing, category and contract implementation for the category portfolio and in line with approvals from the Procurement Senior Leadership Team and internal Stakeholders.The Category Manager will be responsible for developing an in depth understanding of the assigned category and its supply chain and ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and regulation with respect to the procurement of goods and services.Youll have experience working in a category management approach to procurement. Youll have a strong commercial awareness and a pragmatic approach to problem solving.
