Along with moving away from coal we are piloting the first bioenergy carbon capture storage projects, the first of its kind in Europe, and if successful could make our renewable energy carbon negative. If youre as passionate about protecting the future as we are then youll fit right in.We are pleased to offer a driven individual the opportunity to join us as an Assistant Buyer. Youll source and manage operational procurement cycles for categories of spend across Drax Group on low and medium risk goods and services, whilst delivering value, managing risk, and providing stakeholder support.Youll manage the procurement cycle from concept to contract for routine and non-routine purchase of goods and services to maximise value to Drax whilst maintaining programme and technical specification requirements. Ensuring end users are aware of their own, the company and the suppliers obligations in relation to those contractual relationships.Youll actively work with internal stakeholders to understand the business requirements and challenges to determine procurement solutions that deliver to business needs. Youll also carry out regular spend reviews to identify opportunities for cost reduction by maximising discounts or rebates and complete analysis of data to prepare monthly reports, quarterly reviews and functional dashboards that drive action.Ideally, youll have purchasing experience and/or working toward level 4 MCIPS qualification or equivalent. A reasonable level of Procurement risk mitigation, understanding commercial terms and conditions is preferable. Youll provide strong customer service and communication skills to all internal and external stakeholders, ensuring Group values and behaviours are always demonstrated and encouraged in others. Youll have good prioritisation, co-ordination and organisational skills and a focus on solving problems.
