Job Description

Business Development ManagerBasic: £55,000 - £65,000 / OTE £85,000 - £110,000Selling: SaaSWHY Company part of a £20B group

Our client are a leading SaaS / IoT company with turnover of more than £50m and 400 members of staff globally recognised as a market leader for their industry. They are also part of a larger £20B group and following phenomenal investment are ramping up theUK operations significantly.Their solutions are invaluable delivering massive ROI, cost savings, productivity improvements within the supply chain helping clients drive significant operational improvements. Furthermore, as companies become more committed to becoming more environmentallyefficient their solution is the perfect answer to this.This role is there to manage some of their largest customers predominantly made up of corporate / enterprise customers. You will look after circa 50 accounts to nurture, retain and cross-sell in to the existing base. Whilst looking to acquire new businesscustomers through proactive sales.With a Silicon Valley-like focus on building high-growth, scalable technology business they hire talent that fits in with their culture. For this position you will need to be experienced in selling SaaS or IoT at a corporate level, comfortable dealing withlarge AOV and clients and have a hunter mentality.Responsibilities: Business Development Manager
  • Build long term, successful and sustainable relationships with their existing customer base
  • Target prospect companies and work within the parameters of the UK go to market strategy to build long term, successful and sustainable customer relationships
  • Utilise consultative sales techniques & methodologies to drive business outcome conversations that are relevant to the prospect customer
  • Lead all commercial aspects of the account including commercial queries through to contract negotiation to secure renewal business.
  • Create and build account plans to gain a better understanding of customers businesses and how their solutions are relevant to that client
  • Position the full breadth of the portfolio with clients from SaaS related sales through to Professional services.
  • Work closely with Marketing to develop sales collateral, to drive lead generation activities, and to stay abreast of competitor analysis.
  • Accurate sales forecasting and pipeline management
Qualifications: Business Development Manager
  • Proficient in researching a customer to understand their business
  • Trained in value based, consultative selling
  • Good communication skills - written, spoken and presenting
  • Events management - ability to engage effectively with prospect customers
  • Ability to negotiate a large AOV deals
  • Ability to effectively manage pipeline
  • Emulate a professional sales performance culture
  • 5+ years experience in sales
  • SaaS / IoT sales experience
