Job Description

Joining an organisation that offers progression is a key factor for many looking for a new role. In this company the current Head of IT started working on the Service Desk and progressed their way up to their current level! Could you be the next person tomove up the hierarchyLocated in Huntingdonshire, this food distribution company work with all the major supermarket brands including Tesco, Morrisons and Ocado. They are a large player in this space and are currently looking for a 1st / 2nd line support technician to join theteam on a permanent basis.The perks are pretty cool too, with an onsite shop offering huge discounts on things you would usually buy from the supermarkets. My favourite is the various choice of Steaks for £2!The Role:

  • Be the first point of contact for all IT based issues
  • Provide IT support for the Windows environment
  • Log IT Issues
  • Work through the ticketing system, fixing issues and escalating when appropriate
  • Install and configure new IT equipment
  • Ensure new starters have the correct hardware
  • Maintenance of users using Active Directory
Requirements:
  • Candidates must be happy working from the Huntingdonshire office 5 days per week (some remote working may be available following probation)
  • Previous experience providing 1st line IT support
  • O365 experience
  • Active Directory
  • The full right to work in the UK
With this role there will be an on-call rota which is once a month. Currently they average around 4 calls on this line per week, most of which the issues can be signposted or easily fixed.
