Job Description

Were looking for a highly organised Transport Co-Ordinator with excellent prioritisation skills to join the logistic team at a well-established, family-run haulage company in Cheshire.The CompanyWith a fleet of forty units and fifty chemical tankers, the company has been providing services to clients across the UK and Europe for over 65 years.The company holds all relevant accreditations including RHA and CBA, are assessed by SQAS and provide training in ADR Awareness Additionally, the company ensure all drivers achieve the Driver CPC qualification, partnering with Enterprise Transport Training.Each unit in the companys modern Volvo fleet is serviced every six weeks by a highly qualified team of onsite mechanics at the companys workshops.The company takes corporates social responsibility seriously and is proud to support a number of charities including St Lukes Cheshire Hospice, Alzheimers Research UK and Leeds Teaching Hospitals Charitable Foundation.The RoleThis job has come about because of continued company growth through 2022.Whilst a qualified Transport Co-Ordinator with relevant qualifications would be great, its more important to the company that applicants have transport industry experience, knowledge of the WTD and HGV compliance and the ability to do the job well!Key attributes are:

  • The ability to work calmly and in an organised way with the existing team of drivers and transport staff
  • The ability to understand bookings and book them onto the companys traffic management system
  • The ability to liaise with drivers
  • The ability to liaise with customers
  • Good general admin skills
Amongst other duties, you will work with the wider logistics team, dealing with customer enquiries and complaints, liaising with customers regarding estimated delivery times, conducting investigations where necessary, and liaising with the workshop to schedulefleet inspections and servicing.The OfferThis is a permanent position (subject to completion of a three-month trial) involving office-based and remote-working opportunities.The salary on offer is up to £25,000 per annum, depending on experience. The company is happy to negotiate on this.Your working hours will be 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday, with weekend cover as required, which will be paid at a premium.Sound like something youd be interested in Apply for the position and well contact you immediately.
