Our client is a world leader in chemical distribution looking to add a Supply Chain Lead to their Sandbach site. As Supply Chain Lead you will work closely with the Supply Chain Manager and Materials Planner to ensure effective management of supply chain and deliver against customer orders. Our client has recently acquired a competitor so along with meeting the needs for current customers; the role will focus on seamlessly integrated the acquired customers supply chain needs. The role will focus on ensuring continuity of supply to all customers and looking to improve efficiency. The role will also heavily focus on maximising the profitability of all customers through planning; haulage costs and innovative supply chain methods. The role will require dealing with Import aspects of supply chain as well as customs and so a previous knowledge in these areas would be beneficial. The right candidate would have previous experience in supply chain; ideally working in a team and interacting with customers. Again a previous knowledge of import procedure and/or customs would be an advantage. The person needs to be highly organised; a good communicator and be commercially minded to maximise the profitability through supply chain.
