Job Description

A Manufacturing Engineer (Product Transfer) position has just become available, with one of our key clients based near the Birmingham area. This is a client that holds a large customer footprint globally and is able to provide precision machines parts to various sectors.Would you like to work in a modern manufacturing facility with state of the art equipment and an environment that encourages development Then we want to hear from you!Key duties include -

  • Contribute in PFMEA activities involving cross functional teams.
  • Ensure that current processes and methods of manufacture are capable through time and motion studies, line balancing and flow to achieve the specified level of readiness for NPI or transition.
  • Create or edit information on the ERP System.
  • Generate SOPs (Standard Operating procedures).
  • Provide technical support to the CNC area.
  • Review and co-ordinate with other functions to close out actions arising from existing concessions and permits within an agreed time period.
  • Analyse existing manufacturing processes using time motion studies and suggest improvements.
  • Participate in Value Stream Mapping and kaizen events, as a team optimizing single process flow.
    • Desirable skills and Experience -
  • Similar experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to use Quality tools such as 8D, RCA and MSA.
  • Knowledge of CNC Machining and Product Transfer.
  • Engineering degree, or other mechanical Engineering qualification.
