We are looking to recruit 4 Clinical Pharmacists on a fixed-term one-year contact with a view to extend following a review at the end of year-one. In addition, we are also looking to recruit for an additional 5 Clinical Pharmacists for a fixed-term from date of appointment until 31st March 2021.We are looking for enthusiastic, committed and motivated Clinical Pharmacists to join the Washwood Heath Primary Care Network (PCN) to develop medicines optimisation services. You must have experience of working in a similar role in General Practice or prove you have the potential and right skill set to undertake the role.The PCN comprises 9 General Practices working in conjunction with local health and social care organisations to improve the health and wellbeing of the local population. Washwood Heath is a Ward in Birmingham roughly two miles north-east of Birmingham city centre.The successful candidates will have a patient facing role in managing long-term conditions; working directly with patients to assess and treat conditions, as well as promote self-care. You should have excellent written and verbal communication skills, experience of influencing others and conducting clinical medication reviews. The successful candidates will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to develop and run processes for repeat prescription re-authorisation, management of medicines on transfer of care and systems for safer prescribing.
