Workshop Technician - PermanentWe are looking for an experienced Workshop Technician for a permanent position with our Saltash based client. The client is a recognised world leader in the manufacture of their product, and they are operating in over 30 countries worldwide.To work within the Research and Development department, the engineer will have experience working with manual mills and lathes, grinding equipment and hand tools. You should also have experience working with various materials such as stainless steel, polymers,and composites.Your role as aWorkshop Technicianwill involve the following:• Working as part of a small team to help develop and test new products.• Use of equipment to manufacture components.• Assemble, test, and evaluate prototypes.• Carry out product testing.• Analyse failuresAnd more!We would also encourage applications from people with a Level 3 Apprenticeship in Machining (or equivalent qualification/experience). Similarly, those with experience in reading complex mechanical drawings and report writing.The working hours are Monday to Thursday 0800 – 1700 and you can enjoy a half day on a Friday working 0800 – 1300.
