Job Description

WEB DEVELOPERSaltash, PL12Salary circa 35K, Private Health Scheme, Hybrid Office / Home Working and other perksPlease note: Applicants must be eligible to work in the UKOur client is looking for an enthusiastic Full Stack Developer with a real passion for code to join their friendly team in Saltash. The ideal candidates will be self-driven, enjoy solving problems and have a hunger to learn in a continually evolving industry.You will be expected to contribute to the design and production of cutting-edge web and mobile applications on a variety of interesting projects, as well as support our existing codebase.You should also have a desire to have an input to the day to day running of the development team, so management skills would be beneficial.This position has the scope to become part of the senior management team, so you should also be ambitious.Greater rewards will follow with a successful execution of the challenges met.Desirable Skills Our main product is written in React.js, so this should be a strong skill. Our client is looking for developers with the following (or similar) skills:

  • HTML and CSS
  • Strong grasp of Node.js and JavaScript/TypeScript
  • Experience with MySQL/PostgreSQL/MariaDB
  • Experience with Linux (Ubuntu)
  • Experience working with the React.js library or experience with frontend frameworks (Angular, Vue, Ember etc.)
  • Understanding of version control (Git, SVN or similar)
  • Proven track record of delivering high quality, scalable software solutions
  • Experience working in an Agile Development Environment
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Beneficial Skills Any knowledge/experience of the following is advantageous but not required:
  • Continuous Integration tools (e.g. Jenkins, Travis CI, GitLab CI/CD)
  • VMs, Docker, Kubernetes
  • PHP, C++
  • React Native, PhoneGap/Cordova
  • ERP/CRM/MRP Systems, Accounting Packages
