We have just been rated as Outstanding in our recent CQC inspection.Our ambition is to inspire clients, their relatives and professionals alike by consistently attaining excellent outcomes, supporting people with compassion and kindness.We are currently looking for Support Workers to provide support to our client in Saltash who has a brain injury and complex physical disabilities.The Benefits- Salary of £10.49 (weekdays) - £11.30 per hour (weekends)- Sleep shifts (8 hours) paid at National Living Wage / National Minimum Wage- Work directly for the end service user and not an agency- Statutory benefits and holidayThe RoleAs a Support Worker, you will provide support to our client, a man in his early forties with a brain injury and complex physical disabilities who lives in his own home in Saltash.Working as part of a team providing 24 hour 2:1 support (with 1:1 support overnight), you will assist with all daily activities including personal care, domestic tasks and eating and drinking.Our client has undergone an extended period of rehabilitation and uses a wheelchair for mobility and a hoist for all transfers. You will help facilitate his independence and enable him to access his local community by driving his car.He is sociable and enjoys company as well as visiting family, theatre, cinema, shopping, using his computer, watching DVDs and going away on holiday, for which he requires support workers to accompany him. He does have communication difficulties, which canmake him difficult to understand.We have a number of contracts available including full-time, part-time and bank.Shifts are comprised of 24 hour (8am-8am with 8 hours at National Living Wage as sleeping) shifts or 10 hour (8am-6pm) shifts.Permanent hours, temporary maternity cover and bank hours are available to cover a mixture of day, evening and sleeping night shifts over a 28-day period on a rolling rota basisAbout YouTo join us as a Support Worker, you will need:- The ability to follow instructions and guidance- The ability to work as part of a team- Good communication skills- A full driving licence for a manual vehicle as you will be required to drive the clients carPrevious experience and qualifications in care are desirable, however, full training will be provided.This position requires a fully enhanced disclosure request from the DBS.
