Job Description

LSALearning Support Assistant Location:SaltashSalary: £18,332 (FTE)Contract: PermanentStart Date:September 2022The Role:We are seeking to recruit a self-motivated, enthusiastic and caring learning support assistant to join an SEN school in the Saltash area who we are working in partnership with. This position will involve supporting children aged between 516 who have variouseducational health care plans (ECHP) who require 1:1 support, youll be supporting the children who have challenging behaviour and complex needs. This position is Monday to Friday 9am3pm, term time only. What the role involves:

  • Supporting the class teacher with the delivery of the Curriculum.
  • Working in partnership with parents, teachers and the school to establish a supportive and nurturing learning environment in which children make excellent progress.
  • Helping pupils develop independent learning skills, manage their own learning and prioritise their time.
  • Manage Challenging Behaviour.
  • Become a positive role model to the children.
