Job Description

Bookkeeper Saltash£25 - £27000Our established and busy client is looking for a bookkeeper to undertake a mix of payroll and finance assistant tasks on a full-time basis. This is an in-office role in a lovely company where everyone is treated like family. You should be able to work onyour own initiative and enjoy being part of a team environment.Responsibilities include:

  • Manual entry of payroll and processing of a weekly & monthly payroll
  • Monthly preparation & payment of PAYE & Ni
  • Payroll Journals
  • Setting up new suppliers & customers
  • Approval of invoices
  • Allocation of funds
  • Bank Reconciliations
  • Monitoring aged debtors and creditors
  • Handling inter-company recharges
  • Uploading financial data and transferring to multiple systems
  • Administrating annual rate uplifts
  • Assistance with audit
  • Financial administration
  • Monitoring of accounts emails and communication
The successful candidate will have at least 2 years experience in an accounting or bookkeeping position and ideally be AAT Level 4 qualified. Some payroll experience is required.
  • A keen eye for detail is essential
  • Sage or Xero experience is beneficial
