Systems Administrator My client is seeking an IT & System Administrator Executive with a keen interest in bridging the gap between System Administration and DevOps, acting as a liaison and engaging with stakeholders, particularly our internal call center staff. The individual will be responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving technical issues related to computer hardware, software, and business systems. This position provides end-user support, responds to IT-related queries, and ensures that all IT equipment and systems are functioning efficiently. Systems Administrator must possess strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Duties and Responsibilities: Provide technical support to end-users: Provide first and second line support for all business systems and IT related issues for head office Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, business systems and network-related issues in a timely manner. Assist with the setup and configuration of computers, printers, and other hardware peripherals. Reset passwords and assist with account-related issues. . Network support: Implement and support local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs). Configure and maintain network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points. Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues. Document and update IT procedures, system configurations, and troubleshooting steps. Keep track of hardware and software inventory. Offer basic training to end-users on hardware and software usage. Educate users on best practices for data security and IT-related policies. Collaborate with the IT team: Work with other IT staff to resolve complex technical issues. Participate in team meetings and contribute to IT projects. Requirements: * Experience as a IT & Systems Administrator or similar role. Systems Knowledge Linux (Centos/Ubuntu) - Windows (Server Setup/AD/GPO/Desktop Support) - RDBMS (Postgres/MySQL) - Networking (Switching/Routing/Firewalls - Cisco/Fortinet) - Telephony (VoIP/SIP - Asterisk/FreePBX) - Email (Postfix/Dovecot/SMTP/IMAP) - Scripting (Bash/Python/PowerShell) - DevOps (Kubernetes/Docker/Ansible) *Bonus* Development Experience (Java/Javascript/Python/Perl) * Knowledge of computer hardware, software, and operating systems. * Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. * Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. * Customer-oriented and patient when dealing with end-users. * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
