Job Description

Supply Chain PlannerManufacturing and DistributionPermanentUp to £45,000 + benefitsAdecco Manchester are privileged to be representing an entrepreneurial Group of companies to recruit for a Supply Chain Planner to join their Manchester buying division.The business are rapidly expanding across European and USA markets, and this role will be situated within a busy supply chain team. The role will offer a sense of freedom, without micromanagement of strict KPIs, and the successful candidate will have accessto excellent career progression opportunities.

Role scopeWorking in a team of 2 buyers and 1 senior buyer, the Supply Chain Planner will take responsibility for Sales Forecasting, Demand Planning, Order Management, Supplier Management, Fulfilment, and commercial analysis in order for the business to fulfil itscontractual obligations.ResponsibilitiesSales forecastingUtilising sales reports, information from the commercial sales team and customers to calculate sales forecasts for individual productsDemand PlanningUtilising information from suppliers, sales forecasts and existing stock to determine future requirement from manufacturersOrder ManagementTo place and manage orders with suppliers for finished goods.Supplier ManagementTo measure and review supplier performance and work with them to enable improvement.To communicate and manage supplier disputesShippingTo interact with manufacturers, shipping / customs agents, logistics partners and warehouse operations to ensure receipt of stock in line with demand planning.Commercial AnalysisTo monitor and negotiate product and shipping costs to maximise product margin.Inventory AnalysisTo identify inventory issues, stock outs and over stocks taking action to minimise business impactRequirementsThe successful candidate will have prior demand planning and forecasting experience, managing a large product base, ideally within the manufacturing or distribution sector.
