Job Description

Milk Education are working with a school in the Salford area who are looking to appoint a SEND HLTA. This role will involve supporting children with moderate to severe and complex needs including those that are non-verbal and require the use of devices tocommunicate (having experience with these types of devices is preferred). Some children are in wheelchairs and most of the children in the school have an EHCP, so there is a lot of 1:1 support required around school. The successful candidate will be expectedto undertake all activities as required during their time at the school and be able to work as part of a team as well as being proactive. The role is full-time and long-term with working hours from 8:30-3:30pm.   • Higher Level Teaching Assistant Qualification or Similar
  • Classroom Experience as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant and Knowledge
  • Have strong behaviour management skills
  • Have a genuine passion for teaching and learning
  • Be committed to raising the attainment, aspiration and self-esteem of pupils with behavioural, social and esteem issues
  • Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Have a passion for wanting to support and make a difference in the lives of children with complex SEND needs
  • Be proactive at building relationships with pupils and staff
