Another key component of this Solution Architect role is developing strong collaborative relationships with key departments and stakeholders ensuringsystem requirements, priorities and benefits are clearly defined and articulatedKey Responsibilities: Delivering solution architecture and design, identifying potential points of contention for missed activities and notifies project leadership of the situationIdentify risks, assumptions, constraints, dependencies and requirements traceability within the system architecture and propose appropriate mitigation and optionsIdentify new and evolving technologies, include them in the systems architecture where they can lead to commercial advantage and act as an evangelist for their take-up within IT developmentsSupport creation and maintenance of strategic roadmapsCommunicate the systems architecture plan and the benefits that it will provide to the business unitsEnsure that designs adhere to established architectural governance, ensuring that designs conform to preferred technical approaches, benefit the business and will operate robustly and efficientlyExercise appropriate judgement in system selection between in-house development and packaged software solutions recognising the organisation’s policy of maintaining tight control of its ability to reactActively support the Architecture Practice, including attending regular collaboration and review forums and generally engaging with colleagues in order to ensure all architects are aware of, and contribute to, the architecture roadmapThis is a remote-based role with ad-hoc travel to team and business meetings.You should be based in the UK and our Head Office is based in Crick, Northamptonshire.You: You’ll live and breathe our digital-first ethos, with an agile and pro-active approach.
