Job Description

Senior Finance Manager, £350 to £400 per day, inside IR35Axon Moore are working with a well-known business based in the Salford Quays area who are looking to recruit an interim Finance Manager for 6 month ongoing opportunity.Location: Media City / Salford Quays, ManchesterJob Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Finance Manager to join our Core Finance Team. As the Senior Finance Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with corporate governancerequirements. You will lead a team responsible for delivering high-quality reporting, analysis, and planning to support strategic decision-making. Additionally, you will drive continuous improvement initiatives and oversee the successful financial audit reviewprocess.Responsibilities:Leadership and Team Management:

  • Manage and lead a team of PQs and qualified accountants, providing guidance, support, and mentorship.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team.
Financial Reporting and Compliance:
  • Ensure the delivery of accurate and timely financial reports in accordance with corporate governance requirements.
  • Stay updated on changes in audit standards and ensure the business meets the necessary requirements.
  • Lead the financial audit review process, ensuring its successful completion.
Continuous Improvement and Process Optimisation:
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement within the department, actively seeking opportunities to enhance reporting, analysis, and planning processes.
  • Develop financial and reporting capabilities to provide improved insights for strategic decision-making.
  • Lead and participate in projects that enhance financial reporting or align with reporting requirements.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with other teams throughout the organisation to improve processes, controls, and information within Core Finance.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and develop solutions to meet their requirements.
Controls and Governance:
  • Establish and maintain effective controls and governance procedures to ensure compliance and accuracy in financial reporting.
Person Specification:
  • Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).
  • Proven experience managing a medium-sized finance team.
  • Demonstrated credibility with strong influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and work effectively in a collaborative environment.
  • Tenacity and drive to perform at a high standard in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and commercial skills to provide valuable insights.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and exceptional organisational skills.
  • In-depth technical accounting knowledge and understanding of relevant financial regulations.
