Job Description

Are you looking for a full-time SEN teaching role –temp to permMilk Education are currently looking for a Qualified SEN Teacher in Salford to begin working in a Jewish SEN school immediately. This role will involve supporting children and young adults with moderate to severe and complex needs including those that arenon-verbal and require the use of devices to communicate (having experience with these types of devices is preferred). Some children are in wheelchairs and most of the children in the school have an EHCP, so there is a lot of 1:1 support required around school.This is a full-time, long-term position Monday to Friday. The school are ideally looking to take staff on permanently if they are the right fit for the school and if the individual wants to take on a permanent role working for the school.For this role you should:

  • Be available full time
  • Have a PGCE, QTS or an alternative recognised teaching qualification
  • Have a secure knowledge and understanding of how to support pupils with severe complex needs
  • Have an enhanced DBS certificate on the update service (this can be applied for through Milk Education if needed)
  • Be able to teach multiple subjects and be flexible with what you are able to teach within a school
  • Have a passion for wanting to support and make a difference in the lives of children with SEN needs
  • Be proactive at building relationships with pupils and staff
  • Respect the culture, religion, ethos and traditions of the school and surrounding community
