With unrivalled knowledge and experience, we provide high-quality, value-for-money finance, procurement and employment services to the NHS, helpingthem overcome any challenges they face in the back office.We work closely with NHS organisations all over the country to replace outdated, time-consuming and error-prone paper processes, with affordable digital systems and more efficient ways of working, and in addition to our core services, we are designing and developinginnovative digital technologies and piloting brand new ways of working, which further improve efficiency and quality, and better support the NHS workforce to deliver world-class patient care.We are passionate about using our expertise to save the NHS time and money and are more relevant today than ever before.The Day Job:Were seeking an experienced procurement category professional to join us as an Principal Category Manager for NHS SBS Estates and Facilities Team.Supporting the team, you will take responsibility for the implementation and contract management of delegated Framework Agreements ranging, including but not limited to Hard Facilities Management, Soft Facilities Management, Waste and Design, Appliances andFurniture. You will enjoy a challenge, supporting Clients on both strategic and operational level and developing specific contract management and implementation programmes/strategies across our client base and will lead the delivery of a number of projectswithin key markets.   • Works closely with internal teams to ensure cohesive strategies in the delivery of portfolio framework agreements.
  • Works with other government agencies and social services to identify areas for product/service standardisation across health and government related service settings e.g. home care, schools, prisons, defence etc.
  • Support Estates and Facilities category to build strategic relationships through development of an engagement plan with key customers, contractors and partners across the UK to ensure needs and capability are understood and to deliver business growth.
  • Support business development for Estates and Facilities areas, identify, establish and develop relationships with new and existing customers and key stakeholders, setting targets and identifying opportunities for NHS SBS to secure new business and meetits growth objectives. You will ensure rigour is applied to the segmenting and targeting of prime opportunities and this will be underpinned by in-depth understanding of the customers estates and facilities strategy, roadmap and commercial challenges.
  • Actively manages the marketplace through development of key strategies for supplier and contract management.
  • Establishes and ensures effective processes to enable collaborative purchases, trials, and long-term plans for delivery of Construction and Infrastructure services to allow for standardisation using evidence base and innovative practice across the healtheconomy of the region.
Required SkillsYou need to have:
  • Degree qualified/equivalent
  • MCIPS/CIPS qualified/worked towards
  • Working knowledge within a Category Management position
  • Understanding of estates and facilities
  • Experience and/or knowledge of working with the NHS and/or Public Sector
  • Knowledge of UK Public Contracts Regulations
