Job Description

Ultimately you will be responsible for for the successful delivery of your category sales, stock, profit and contribution targets through effective forecasting. And supporting other merchandisers in the business with their departments.Client DetailsOver the last 20 years my client has become a powerhouse of their market,spanning over 10 international ecommerce sites, 3 retail stores and over 150 staff members. Due to strong trading figures they are now looking to grow their merchandising team.Description

  • Work closely with the product team to build range plans for seasons, and annual events formulating sales, margin and stock budgets, monitoring OTB, ensuring that spend is in line with seasonal budgets at total, category and channel level
  • In season trading using line level sales trackers and WSSI - recommending repeats, RSP increases, or promotional activity ensuring we maximise sales and margin while clearing stocks effectively to hit budgeted terminal figures
  • Post seasonal analysis, including SWOT & lessons learned to be pulled together, presented to the wider team to review performance with recommendations / action plan for growth going forward.
  • Work with the warehouse team to ensure we have the required space and locations to house our stock requirements prior to season, and recommend locations to maximise pick efficiencies within season
  • Liaise with European merchandiser regarding buy requirements for this area.
  • Review stock requirements for the season, split between European distribution centre & Manchester to ensure that we have sufficient stocks for each location, and to enable us to launch ranges at the same time
  • Purchase orders to be placed - merch to liaise with stock controllers, suppliers, and warehouse team, ensuring orders are placed with a considered intake plan, and phased accordingly
  • Out of season stock and sales tracking to be completed, ensuring on shelf availability outside of key periods on best sellers, allowing us to maximise sales
  • To review retail and wholesale pricing prior to the season to ensure that we can maximise our turnover and profit by channel, while protecting retail sales
  • Data manipulation on a daily / weekly / monthly basis - extracting information from internal database systems, formulating ad hoc and standardised reports allowing visibility of performance, while flagging exceptional opportunities or concerns
Profile
  • Previous experience as a established Assistant Merchandiser, Senior Assistant merchandiser or Similar
  • Strong communication, motivation and management skills
  • Strong Excel Skills
  • Organised and structured in approach with the ability to deliver goals and strategies
