Job Description

A multi-disciplinary consultancy is looking for experienced Highway Design Engineers to undertake a contract that involves a number of Alignments with a major District Council in the North. You must be comfortable with detailed alignment design and demonstrateexpert software skills using Civil 3D or OpenRoads. MicroDrainage would also be extremely desirable but not essential in this contract.As a Highways Design Engineer you can work from any of the consultancies 5 UK wide offices and you would only need to be in your chosen office 1 day per week for the duration of the contract.Highway Engineer Requirements

  • Degree/Higher National Certificate/Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • C Eng/I Eng with appropriate Institution (ICE, CIHT, RGS, CIWEM) is desirable or working towards achieving this.
  • Knowledge of National highways design using DMRB and other Highways England standards. Proficient in the use of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Expert knowledge of detailed design using Civil 3D or OpenRoads
  • Experience of leading a small team on major Public Realm schemes, in particular Highway Alignments.
