The role will be responsible for the day to day delivery of procurement transactional services to our end clients, meeting customer and organisation expectations and contractual obligations, within timescales, costs, resource utilisation and service levels.This is a great opportunity for someone looking for senior operational procurement role within a successful and expanding team.This role is a 12 month FTC with the view to going permanent.Key Responsibilities:• Responsibility for the operational leadership of a large purchase to pay transactional team. • To plan, schedule and manage the defined purchase to pay services, delivering to agreed timescales, budget, acceptance criteria, quality criteria and contractual commitments.• Ensure that the service delivery is being managed in accordance with the agreed processes and procedures with regard to: Service definition; Service level management, including reporting; Documentation, including maintenance of appropriate review documentation and audit trails ; Change control (with both customers and suppliers). • To report and escalate service issues in an appropriate and timely fashion and initiate timely, corrective action where required.• To ensure an effective communication process is in place with customer(s), line management, third party suppliers and team members.• To deal with enquiries from customers related to the results/performance of the business service for which the manager is responsible.• To assist customers to develop business processes and procedures in support of new products and services, or in response to systems changes.• To ensure all required controls are implemented, documented and monitored so as to ensure full audit compliance.Essential Skills: • Experience managing a transactional procurement team and have knowledge of contract and supplier management processes.• Ability to lead, manage and develop large teams.• Excellent relationship building and client management skills. • Coaching and mentoring approach to management.If you are interested in this role but not sure if your skills and experience are exactly what we’re looking for, please do apply, we’d love to hear from you!Fixed term contract: 12 Months Location: Flexible with travelClearance level: N/AInternal Recruiter: Tom MeredithSalary: Up to £55,000Benefits: £5,400 Car Allowance, 25 days annual leave (with the option to buy additional days), private medical, life assurance, pension, and generous flexible benefits fund.Although this role is advertised as full-time, we support different ways of working and can offer a range of flexible working arrangements.
