Job Description

Carbon60 are looking for a Gas Safe Engineer to join a global Facilities Management company. This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to work in a large custodial environment comprising of residential units, medical facilities, education,and workshop spaces.Location: Salford, ManchesterSalary: £32,500Benefits:

The Role:
  • Read drawings to understand or plan the layout of gas installations plumbing, waste disposal and water supply systems
  • Cut, assemble, and install pipes and tubes with attention to existing infrastructure (e.g., electrical wiring)
  • Install and maintain water supply systems
  • Locate and repair issues with water supply lines
  • Repair Industrial and domestic appliances (e.g., boilers, washing machines) and fixtures (e.g., sinks) etc.
  • Install and maintain gas and liquid heating systems (air-conditioning units, radiators etc.)
  • Install waste disposal and sanitary systems with well-functioning DWV systems
The Successful candidate:
  • PNDNG2 Non-Domestic Heating and Appliances or equivalent
  • NDNG3 Non-Domestic Catering and Appliances or equivalent ideal but not essential
  • Solid understanding of water distribution and disposal systems in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings
  • Working knowledge of heating and ventilation systems as well as appliances
  • Ability to handle plumbing tools and equipment (pipe wrenches, pipe cutters, plungers etc.)
  • Must be able to pass security clearance
