Job Description

Adecco Manchetser are pleased to be recruiting for a Driver/Installer to join a supplier of IT Equipment and Office Furniture in Salford, UK. This role is available due to business growth and securing a new premises to operate from.Please note, to be eligible for this role you will need to be located within reasonable commuting distance to Salford, and have a full, clean driving licence. You also need to be available full-time between Monday and Friday.Responsibilities

  • Assemble, install, and arrange a variety of furniture, including but not limited to office desks, chairs, cabinets, and modular systems
  • Ensure the safe and secure installation of furniture in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and industry standards
  • Evaluate work-spaces and client locations to determine the optimal arrangement of furniture, taking into consideration ergonomics, aesthetics, and functionality
  • Identify any potential issues or obstacles that may affect the installation process
  • Conduct quality checks to ensure that all furniture is assembled correctly, free from defects, and functioning as intended
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, including inventory, installation notes, and client specifications
  • Interact professionally with clients, addressing their questions, concerns, and special requests
About you
  • A full, clean driving licence
  • Physical fitness to lift and move heavy furniture items
  • Prior experience assembling furniture (ideal), or in a role that involves DIY/problem solving
  • Experience interacting or working with people with physical/mental difficulties is beneficial, but not mandatory
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Reliably able to commute to the premises in Salford

  • A starting salary of £25,000

Further details and schedule
  • Monday-Friday
  • Very occasional weekends
  • Core hours 8.30am-5pm - overtime sometimes required due to site locations
