Job Description

To provide a full administration support service to the Buying TeamTo be responsible for all post-sale activity including any administration and follow up work in relation to purchase ordersClient DetailsA leading multi- channel business based in Salford. They sell into some of the biggest UK retails such as Tesco & Wilko and also sells on Ecommerce Web platforms. Due to strong trading over the last 6 months and strong sales on their own branded productthe business is looking for another Trading Assistant to join the team.Description

  • To be fully responsible for ensuring costing sheets are completed, range plans updated and company samples and orders are tracked in the required time frames.
  • To be responsible for all post-sale activity including any administration and follow up work in relation to purchase orders.
  • To quickly and accurately turn-round information, data and documentation
  • To maintain daily contact with overseas suppliers supporting the Buying team in ensuring on-time shipment of required goods to meet purchase order requirements.
  • To be an integral part of the Buying team demonstrating excellent liaison and customer service skills to maximise both supplier co-operation and customer loyalty.
  • To raise and issue approved purchase orders to vendors thereafter monitoring factory production information to ensure the customer production flow is accurate to ensure on time delivery.
  • To maintain and review on a weekly basis a clear and accurate purchase order book.
  • To maintain an accurate production and shipping schedule on the companys ERP system.
  • To ensure PO deposit requests are submitted to the Accounts team in the correct manner to avoid non-payment of deposits.
  • To ensure correct POs/PIs are saved the Companys ERP system in the correct manner.
  • To chase all relevant shipment authorisation forms from the supply base for domestic stock sign off by the Merchandising team.
  • To understand and manage the Company/customer sample process including but not limited to: development samples, pre-production samples, production samples and keeping the sample log updated.
  • To complete all PO specification sheets forwarding to vendors in a timely manner to avoid production delays and approving /notifying carton markings back to vendor.
  • To issue quote requests in the correct manner along with relevant Buyer to factories and chase answers
  • To update costing sheets and pass to Buyers for sign off
  • To create company OCS documents and forward to Buyers for sign off
  • To obtain cutting guidelines as necessary
  • To create and maintain accurate NAV item cards updating data as necessary.

  • Effective computer skills with strong Excel knowledge

  • workload to maintain/enhance customer expectations
