Job Description

Page Personnel are recruiting for a Purchase Ledger Assistant on behalf of a well established distribution business based in Salford.The purpose of this role is to take responsibility for the full end to end purchase ledger process and support wider finance function.Client DetailsPage Personnel are recruiting this role on behalf of a family run business who have a global presence.As part of the business you will have excellent opportunities to grow and develop as part of a dedicated and supportive team. The business offers hybrid working and other excellent benefits which including study support.DescriptionDuties will include:

  • Coding, authorisation and posting of overhead invoices across a number of cost centres
  • Bank reconciliation
  • Coding and posting of employee expenses
  • Improving the current finance processes and procedures, and constantly seeking efficiencies
  • Processing and managing the group I.T invoices
  • Ad hoc raising of invoices
  • Intercompany reconciliations
  • Treasury: Raising ad hoc urgent online payments for authorisation
  • Treasury: Reviewing cash requirements on a regular basis and managing cash flows between divisional bank accounts accordingly
ProfileThe successful candidate will have:
  • A proven track record in a similar role
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of MS Office, particularly MS Excel
  • The ability to work alone or as part of a team
