Job Description

HR AssistantSouth Manchester£23,000 - £25,000Facilities Management CompanyCareer Progression Gym On Site My client is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated HR Assistant. Reporting to the HR Business Partner you will work within a close-knit HR team. The role is to help and support field based Operational Managers with employee issues on a day-to-daybasis. This is a great opportunity for somebody who wants to progress their career within HR, ideally you will have or working towards CIPD.Key Responsibilities for HR Assistant job include;

  • Coordinating the onboarding for new starters including new starter paperwork, right to work checks and referencing
  • Preparation of contracts and offer letters
  • Ensure candidates complete registration forms to add employees to payroll
  • Monitor the process for sickness and absence
  • Having a good understanding of HR practices as well as knowledge of employment law and employee relations
  • Providing basic advice to managers and employees on HR policies and processes - ensuring best practice (with the support/guidance of the HRBP and Senior HR Advisor)
  • Assign essential training to new joiners, including use of online training platform
  • Informing department managers of probationary periods, sending relevant forms, ensuring meetings are carried out
  • Maintain personnel files
Key Skills for the HR Assistant job include;
  • Previous experience in HR preferably 1-2 years in a similar role
  • CIPD level 3 minimum or working towards
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
