Job Description

We are proud to be working on behalf of an industry leading awarding body and training organisation based in North Essex who are seeking someone with some sales and marketing experience to join its training and development team in the launch of new and exciting skills academy.The successful candidate will play a critical role in the operations of the new Skills Academy which at its heart is an online platform that provides a one-stop shop for learners at all stages of their careers to develop their skills and knowledge.The ideal candidate will have some sales and marketing experience, great administrative skills, a passion for the media a natural interest in people and the ability to give outstanding customer service.There will be an opportunity to assist with the production of online training materials and other web copy so an aptitude and interest in developing these skills will be a real advantage.We are looking for someone with enthusiasm, commitment and potential to become a successful member of their dedicated team, and in return for your hard work and dedication our client offers a competitive regional salary, a great team-working culture and ongoing support to develop your skills and experience.Key responsibilitiesReporting to the development manager and working closely with the marketing and communications manager, the main areas of responsibility are:

  • To coordinate, administer and promote training courses and resources including e-learning courses, webinars, interactive quizzes, static resources and in-person seminars
  • To assist where applicable with the production of online training materials and other web copy
  • To provide planning and logistical support for all training events, and other events where required
  • To administer awards and prizes, including liaison with judges and sponsors, and shortlisted students and members.
  • To support the work of the development manager, marketing and communications manager and the head of partnerships and projects.
  • About youWe are looking for someone with the confidence and skills to contribute to the work of the new Skills Academy. You must be able to plan ahead, be thorough and have an eye for detail - and you must also be able to think on your feet. You will bring creative new ideas to the team and be able to multi-task, prioritise and work efficiently to tight deadlines.Experience of marketing and administration is preferred but we dont expect you to know everything. We are looking for someone who has a positive and proactive attitude and an appetite to learn and progress. With the organisation expanding its work in key areas, this is a great opportunity to help shape new online learning resources.Experience with Moodle - or a similar platform - is an advantage but not a prerequisite. You will have a friendly and professional manner in communicating with learners, tutors and the incumbent team. You will be responsible for taking bookings so understanding customer needs is vital.Successful candidates will enjoy dealing with people at all levels who come from a range of different backgrounds and all walks of life.
