Trainee Mechanical Assembler

  • Salary Up to £30,000 pa, plus bonus & generous benefits

  • Location: Saffron Walden, Essex - Applicants will need to have their own transport required due to the location.

We are a progressive company who can offer you genuine job security and an exciting future.As the company continues to expand, we are looking to strengthen our Production team with the recruitment of a Trainee Mechanical Assembler.Our Clients is a family-owned company, they provide innovative chemistry equipment in the pharmaceutical, contract research, academic, bio-tech, agrochemical, chemical and fine chemical market and employ approximately 70 people.They are proud of their achievements and its strong people values. They believethat their people are at the core of their success and they work hard to create a happy workplace where people can fulfil their potential.About the job:This role will involve the assembly of all in-house products, and any other activities to support Production.As a Trainee Mechanical Assembler you will learn:
  • Using a variety of hand and power tools
  • Basic hand soldering
  • Crimping
  • Conducting basic visual inspection of finished products
  • Using test equipment to ensure units function as expected
  • Carry out testing on the completed units
  • Following work flow instructions to help build assemblies
  • Basic wiring & electronics
