Technical Support Engineer - Cambridge - up to £45,000 + BenefitsA highly recommended client of mine based near Cambridge is currently looking for a Technical Support Engineer to provide BAU and project support due to recent growth of the business and a rise in projects being undertaken.My client is looking for a Technical Support Engineer who is well versed in providing support in a virtual environment and supporting technologies such as Active Directory, Office 365 and Windows Server. Someone who is happy to support the service desk when required and assist Senior Engineers in the projects they are delivering. The role will be split between project and BAU work.My client has a number of projects in the pipeline including an Exchange upgrade and Windows 10 rollout and as such, a Technical Support Engineer who has previously delivered these pieces either on their own or as part of a wider team is highly desirable although not essential. As the Technical Support Engineer will be involved in projects from the get-go and work closely alongside the infrastructure team, this is a great opportunity to develop their skillset and progress into a high level Infrastructure position.Essential Experience - Technical Support Engineer

  • Hyper-V or VMware - user management and troubleshooting and server builds
  • SAN Storage Experience
  • Windows Server 2012 or 2016 - troubleshooting
  • Active Directory - Group Policies
  • DNS and DHCP Experience
  • Exchange or Office 365 - user management and troubleshooting
  • Backup experience
  • Desirable Experience - Technical Support Engineer
  • Windows Server builds
  • Exchange upgrade experience
  • Exchange to Office 365 project experience
  • Windows 10 rollout
  • SCCM / SCOM - server monitoring and deployments
  • Patch management
