THE ROLEExcellent communication, influencing and social skills are all essential as personal relationships with suppliers are key to the success of the role.Duties/Responsibilities include* Working with supply chain to optimise pricing & continuity of supply* Purchasing some specialist products and services* Providing schedules, reports, and recommendations to the management team* Managing our small on-site stock of materials* Expediting orders where needed* Arranging supplier auditsAlthough the role is based on site at our Great Chesterford office, some travel may be required in the UK and, occasionally, overseas.Essential skills and knowledge - you must be able to demonstrate:* Experience of purchasing complex items to custom specifications* Competence with spreadsheets to analyse information* Excellent written and spoken communication skills* Relevant qualifications and experience* The ability to multi-task, and to work accurately under time pressure.* A flexible approach and a solutions-based attitude.* A full UK driving licenceTHE REWARDSIn return, we offer an excellent package and a stimulating environment that will encourage you to be your best.
