Job Description

Armstrong Knight are delighted to be working with a leading firm of Accountants who are seeking to recruit a Qualified or Qualified by experience, Senior Accountant. The firm provides a friendly and flexible working environment and offers a supportive cultureand good career progression.

  • Preparation and completion of statutory accounts, year-end accounts and rental accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships
  • Dealing with a varied client portfolio (T/O up to £2million) including OMBs, property investors, property developers, agricultural, retail etc.
  • Preparation of corporation tax returns and personal tax returns
  • Preparation of monthly or quarterly management accounts include forecasting and budgeting
  • Provide task support to fellow team members, sharing knowledge and providing guidance
  • Liaising with internal and/or third party external outsourcing
  • Finalising accounts under the overall control of the Manager
  • Organise your flow of work, allocating your assignments and managing your time as necessary taking into consideration your client deadlines and other constraints
  • Ensure work is completed within agreed time and budget
  • Liaise with third parties as required (HMRC, mortgage brokers, other members of your team, payroll bureau, etc)
  • Develop and maintain effective client relationships, including attending client premises as required and client meetings
  • Dealing with general incoming client queries and escalating when required
  • Identify cross selling opportunities
  • Opportunity to be involved in ad-hoc client projects
  • Keeping up to date technically
