Building Surveyor- Home based - London / South East / Counties - c£65kMy client is a large residential property services provider, operating nationally through a network of regional offices and home based property managers.Within their Building Surveying team, an opportunity has arisen for a Building Surveyor, Graduate Building Surveyor (APC) or Chartered Building Surveyor (RICS or CIOB) to undertake a project focused role specialising in:Residential Block inspections for the purpose of identifying defects and maintenance requirements.Project management of major projects including remediation works identified in EWS1 assessments up to £5m value.Writing Specifications and TendersPreparation of building insurance reinstatement cost assessments.Condition surveys and defect diagnosis.Licence for Alterations.Handover inspections from new build, working with developers to identify snagging issuesFire risk assessments, managing any remedial works relating to cladding etc.Major works project managementContractor oversightThe suitable Building Surveyor, Graduate Building Surveyor (APC) or Chartered Building Surveyor (RICS or CIOB) will have 2 years experience (or more) and a background in residential project work. Building Surveyors may come from a private or social housingbackground demonstrating stability and progression throughout. Whilst professional qualification is desirable, it isnt essential and our client will support those Building Surveyors keen to obtain MRICS (through the APC) or similar whilst on the job.In terms of location, our client is headquartered in Hertfordshire with a large number of projects planned and ongoing across London and the South East, so residing in or close to would be ideal for site visits.Whilst working from home and site for the majority of their time, the successful Building Surveyor will report to our clients Hertfordshire head office as required and enjoy a basic salary up to £60k to start (depending on experience) plus company car orallowance.If you are a building surveyor AT ANY LEVEL with an interest in residential projects and want to work for a large UK plc please apply now for immediate consideration and further info.
