The Just Recruitment Group Ltd is currently recruiting for a Master Production Scheduler for their client based in Saffron Walden.The successful applicant will be responsible for managing the overall planning activities, ensuring a robust demand management process is in place to achieve 100% customer service levels while simultaneously driving to meet the companys operational/financial goals.Prerequisites*3-5 years experience in a manufacturing planning related field. *Advanced PC skills, with emphasis on spreadsheet skills and ERP/MRP experience *Strong problem solving/analytical, negotiation, and people skills are a must.*Ability to work under pressure effectively and professionally, in a team-oriented environment, with frequent changes in deadlines and priorities.Duties will include:*Integrating SIOP from Sales & Business Development*Create a manufacturing plan monitoring the factory capacity, inventory and customer requirements*To create manufacturing orders using the MRP system to fulfil demand*Producing a master production schedule to control production and external sub-contractors*Lead strategic make / buy process*Develop customer commits to the demand plan based on material and capacity constraints*Maintain achievable build & ship plan, with focus on minimizing costs and internal lead-time.*Produce, update and maintain planning KPIs, including actual production vs. planned performance against targets, on a daily basis*Communicate and distribute planning information and reports to the production management team*Work with production teams to establish best practice and maintain good relations*Conduct rough cut capacity planning*Define and implement balanced production plans and levelled schedules*Loading the Master Production Schedule and driving MRP*Trace production to schedule to ensure meeting committed delivery dates*Mentor and lead the Production Planners, ensuring proper training and development For more information on this position, please contact Just Recruitment Group Ltd on telephone quoting job reference 910933.Please note that if you have not been contacted within 7 days, your application for this position has been unsuccessful.
