Job Description

Junior Technical Sales Specialist - ChemistryLocation: Saffron Walden, EssexSalary: Competitive + CarWe are seeking an enthusiastic chemistry graduate with a scientific background in chemistry or chemical engineering who is interested in pursuing a career in scientific sales.This role offers the chosen candidate an opportunity to gain insight into the various functions performed by both the UK and International Sales Teams, and elements of Marketing and Product Management. Furthermore, there are numerous prospects for futurecareer advancement.The Junior Technical Sales Specialist will be involved in generating and nurturing leads, identify opportunities, and effectively communicating the value of the companys products and services. This will include attending exhibitions, face to face visitsand co-travel are regular activities. Whilst predominantly UK based, international travel should be expected.Responsibilities include:

  • Support UK and International sales teams at visits, conferences, and in daily operations.
  • Support the generation and nurturing of leads by phone, email, video call or in-person.
  • Respond to customer sales enquiries.
  • Present products online and in-person.
  • Perform equipment installations and customer training.
  • Maintenance of accurate records, visit reports, prospect lists and data via our Sales force CRM platform.
  • Prepare and deliver sales/training materials (presentations, webinars, demos).
  • Assist with sales reports.
  • Reporting to our Global Sales Manager.
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
  • Suitable scientific/technical qualification/background, preferably in chemistry or chemical engineering.
  • Experience with laboratory instruments, handling, and demonstration.
  • Technical knowledge in chemical synthesis, process development, work-up, and evaporation techniques.
  • Strong organisational, time management, and prioritisation skills.
  • Proficiency in using Word, Sales force, Excel, PowerPoint, Zoom, Teams, and Outlook.
  • Valid full UK driving license.
