Your energy, an abundance of team spirit and your hunger to help.Together we are building happy.The RoleWe are recruiting for a people focused and strategic Head of People who can build key relationships while positivity influencing people and cultural change to support the Societies Amazing Employer Brand goal.The successful candidate will lead our award-winning People team of 7, while delivering on the overall provision of people through HR, Talent and L&D. This is an incredible opportunity for a forward thinking People leader that wants to make a difference.Key Responsibilities (not limited to)

  • Update and embed the People Strategy to ensure it aligns with the Societies Amazing Employer Brand strategic goal
  • Design and lead on people focused projects to support the people strategy
  • Identify people trends and advising and implementing recommended actions, including hybrid working
  • Ensure that communication and practices re-enforce the Societys culture,values and building happy behaviours
  • Responsible for the Career Families framework; job grading/benchmarking,pay,benefits,reward and appraisal schemes which reflect business needs
  • Management for the SMCR provision, including all applications and SMCR governance
  • Deliver organisational design that support the Societies culture and objectives to enable colleagues to deliver a service stands out
  • Member of Executive Committee and Remuneration Committee and attendee ofBoard and ad-hoc Nominations Committee
  • Advise on the people resourcing requirements needed to deliver strategic plans, working closely with the Executive group and keystakeholders in the business
About You
  • Passionate about building excellence through delivering inclusive people practices you can be proud of
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills to build strong connections through positive people transformation
  • A high level of HR knowledge and experience at senior level, ideally CIPD qualified
  • Influential People person with a strategic mindset
  • Respectful and kind; the way we treat each other sets the tone for how we treat our customers
