Job Description

Digital & Marketing Manager£26,868Saffron Walden, EssexThe RoleAre you confident, enthusiastic, and digitally savvy Are you seeking a new challenge where your talents will be fully utilized in a challenging environment If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you.In this role, you will be responsible for all aspects of our marketing operations with a digital focus, aimed at growing ticket sales, incorporating SEO optimisation, social media management and CRM.This role is part-time: 30 hours per week across 5 days; able to work evening and weekends when required.Key Responsibilities:The key responsibilities of a Digital & Marketing Manager include, but are not limited to:

  • Developing and delivering marketing strategy for each venue that is directly aligned with the organisation goals and vision.
  • Executing and implementing the marketing plans utilising on- and offline channels, including but not restricted to:
    • Website: Overseeing all content creation and upload, ongoing maintenance and development, performance and traffic analytics (SEMRush or equivalent) and content and SEO optimisation, regular reporting.
    • Social media: Creating engaging and valuable content, measurement of activity and regular reporting.
    • CRM: Delivery of targeted email campaigns using Mailchimp, ensuring growth of this channel, analysis of results, reporting and optimising.
    • Advertising: Management of on and offline advertising including briefing design, creative sign off and booking media.
    • Community activity: Driving local PR, event, and other opportunities to promote the cinema.
    • Management of marketing budgets across both venues.
    • Management of Saffron Screens membership scheme communications with an aim to maximising engagement and retention and increasing new sign ups, working with the membership coordinator to answer and resolve and issues.
    • Analysis and reporting on marketing activities to ensure effectiveness and optimisation.
    • Identification of advertising and sponsorship income generation opportunities.
    • Community engagement in Saffron Walden and Royston to build relationships with other local organisations, groups, and networks.
    • Brand guardianship across all activities.
The CompanySaffron Screen opened to the public in May 2006 and is an independent cinema screening a wide range of films and Arts on Screen (live opera, ballet, music, theatre, art and music), in 2019 we welcomed around 40,000 customers through our doors.In December 2019 we took over management of Royston Picture Palace in Royston, Hertfordshire, working with Royston Town Council. Royston Picture Palace is set in the Town Hall and can seat around 138 customers.The PersonThe key skills and qualities of a Digital & Marketing Manager are:
  • Bachelors degree in marketing or relevant field
  • Up to date knowledge of various digital and social media platforms, best practices, and website analytics
  • Experience using SEMRush (or equivalent)
  • Solid experience in CRM management and campaign creation, including knowledge of Mailchimp and database management
  • Knowledge and experience of website content management, particularly using WordPress
  • Strong understanding of Google Analytics, Facebook insights and SEO best practice
  • Knowledge and experience of using Microsoft Publisher
  • Experience of working in the Arts
